Laminate - Today's laminate floor coverings employ wood-based laminates in their core thereby resulting in a more rigid material than carpet and resilient floor coverings. Consequently, laminate floor coverings exhibit a superior resistance to indentations and gouges that may otherwise come from piano legs, pointed high heels, and other high pressure spots. The wear layer on laminate floor coverings is easy to clean and durable. Laminate floor coverings are not well suited to wet areas like bathrooms.
Warranties - Laminate floor coverings produced by Mohawk, and Mannington come with lengthy warranties of twenty-five years or more. These warranties cover wear, stains and fading as a result of exposure to light.
